I admire your work, and I respect your willingness to inform; but we have a condition here in America that is becoming a disease.

It appears the people are sleeping, acting like zombies.

I have given this a lot of thought, and I know the causes.

We are apathetic, and it will get worse.

1. First off you have media reporting the government spin. Most people do not use the internet to get the real news. They prefer chat rooms, online gaming and various other meaningless activities.

2. The dumbing down of America. Most people have stopped reading, and writing is obsolete. If they do read, it’s the latest fiction. The UN dictates the curriculum; and it is filled with meaningless gibberish like homosexuality acceptance and studying the Islamic bible; acceptance of other nationalities to the detriment of our own country and its culture and traditions, and man's pollution of the planet. Gone are the old math skills and good English, and American History is now being rewritten. In New Jersey, Washington and Jefferson are out because they were slave owners.

3. Full plates! Most Americans today are so busy trying to keep up with the cost of living and the change in employment, not to mention low wages and loss of benefits that they have no time left to explore the problems we are facing. Both parents work, care for the children, maintain the home and attempt to keep above water. There is no time left, and they are too tired to protest even when they know that our government is guilty on all counts and the war is wrong and Bush is out of his mind.

4. They are stressed out and on drugs (if not prescription, then off the street). Anti-depressants, sedatives, pain relievers etc. There is something for everyone; is that why so many are bipolar today? The kids are diagnosed ADHD and they are on pills too. What can you expect?

5. Those that do care are zombied, too, for nothing works. They recognize they have lost the power and are paralyzed by it; the rest are paralyzed by fear of the unknown. What will get us next? Where can we be safe? The media expands this fear by saying the Aliens are coming, our food is poisoned, water (fluoride) kills the brain, terrorists are going to get us, we are going to freeze in twenty years, global warming is going to do us in, fossil fuels are running out, you will need a bicycle, we are in orange alert.

I do know of one thing that might mobilize America, and that is if they come for our guns.
