WINGS OVER AMERICA
by Victor Thorn & Lisa Guliani
Victor: This might be the most important topic we’ve ever discussed, because today we’re going to address a question that seems to be asked of us more than any other: “What can we do as everyday citizens to make this world better, to make our situation better?”
Lisa: The first thing we have to do is become educated as to what’s going on. Then we need to talk about it. We need to tell new people every day. That’s VERY important. And we don’t say this lightly, because we do it ourselves. We tell new people every single day. We have to make a commitment to do that if we want see real change and spread the word.
Victor: Right. And the thing that differentiates us from the people who run the world isn’t that they’re smarter than us, brighter than us, or more well-read than us. That’s not the difference between us and them. There’s only ONE difference: they’re ORGANIZED and we’re not. If you look at the world, everybody who has any kind of control over their situation is organized. Look at the oil-producing countries in the Middle East. They’re organized under OPEC. Look at the bankers in this country. They’re organized under the Federal Reserve System. Look at the nations in Europe. They’re organized under the EU. Even the workers of this country, whether it’s the truck drivers under the Teamsters, or the American Auto Workers or the Postal Union – they’re all organized. The only people who aren’t organized are US! In my opinion, we’re the brightest group of all because we KNOW what’s going on in the world, but for some reason we can’t get organized.
Lisa: Someone in an Internet group posed a question to me today: “Why are so few women involved in the political realm, and why are so few women interested in it?” That’s a very good question. I’ve noticed that hardly anyone is talking about politics – and particularly no women. Mostly, I hear people complaining about the presidential candidates and the rising gas prices. But they don’t look deeper into it, so I respond by asking them, “Who controls the pipeline?” When you start bringing up questions like that in response to their complaints, you can reiterate information that will get people thinking independently.
Victor: As we’ve said before, it’s not simply enough to write articles about these subjects. The people in control are keeping an eye on what’s going on, and they’re saying, “None of these people are doing anything. They’re writing articles, passing them around and writing more articles. But they’re not DOING anything. So if they’re not organized, we don’t care how much they know.” They realize that it’s just a small percentage of the populace that knows what’s going on.
Lisa: We’re not a threat to them because we’re not doing anything about anything that they’re doing.
Victor: As we’ve said before, if we don’t do anything beyond what we’re doing right now, nothing is going to get better. In fact, it’s going to get worse. We tried to form a World Independent News Group (WING) about a year and a half ago, and the everyday people we contacted loved the idea.
Lisa: Overwhelmingly.
Victor: They were 100% behind it. The people that weren’t behind it were the ones who ran the various news sites and so forth.
Lisa: Now, it wasn’t all of them. A lot of website owners were in full agreement with us and were very enthusiastic about it. The opposing website owners who discouraged it were the bigger names – the ones everyone is familiar with.
Victor: They told us the reason this isn’t going to work is because of ego. But we want to make everybody aware right now that we’re not going to become a news agency. What we want to become is an organization. In other words, we’re not going to be a threat to anyone’s autonomy or tell them what they can publish, what they can say, or what they can write about. That’s not our intent. They’re going to be exactly the way they were whether they join this organization or not. So we’re not a threat to anyone’s autonomy. We’re not going to dictate content. What we want is for everybody to be under the same umbrella so we can become a unified force. And the basic premise is one we can all agree upon: that the people who have usurped our government have to go.
Lisa: We need this link to tie us all together because we have to organize if we’re going to change anything. So, are we just going to keep complaining and not tell new people and not bring it out of the box and continue doing nothing, while the state of our country gets worse, or are we going to decide – personally - that we’re going to take it out of the “box”? We need to tell new people and take a proactive stance. And it is an effort. It’s going to take ALL of us. You have to decide whether you’re going to be afraid and inert or if you’re going to take a position and do something about it.
Victor: Here’s what it boils down to. Do you care enough to do something? Now, we’re going to lay out three or four things we plan on doing – and believe me, we’re going to keep hammering this point home because we have to get organized. We know that it works. Yesterday, I was speaking with a woman who had just read John Kaminski’s chapbook The Day America Died, which we published. This woman knew a little bit about what was going on in the world, but she read this book in one sitting and was completely blown away by it. After she was done, she called me immediately and said, “They did it, didn’t they? They were really behind it.” And that’s how effective one book like this can be. Just think if we can reach tens of thousands of people out there – the ones who watch Regis Philbin, the ones who watch Survivor or Joe Millionaire. Those are the people we have to reach.
Lisa: The whole idea behind our Common Sense Series of chapbooks is to inspire people, to rally them, to empower them toward a revolution in thought. We can’t change our world until we change the way we think about what’s going on in our world. So, as Thomas Paine rallied early Americans to revolution against a repressive monarchy, we can rally our own generation of modern-day Americans toward a revolution in thinking and a revolution in our country. We can make the country better. These chapbooks really have an impact on people.
Victor: Here’s what we have in mind. The first thing we want to create is “WINGS OVER AMERICA” (World Independent News Group over America). The second thing we want to do is get all the news organizations and website owners to become the leaders in this movement. We can no longer be passive. WE – that’s US – that’s YOU – we have to become the leaders. What we want all of these individuals to do is sign up for one year. Give this just one year. That’s $120.00 annually. That’s only $10.00 per month. What we intend to do, then, is pool all this money together and run ads in venues that will reach mainstream America.
Lisa: The whole point is to invade the mainstream space. We want to put these ads in magazines, newspapers, tabloids, periodicals, pamphlets, and brochures. We want them in everything that the mainstream population reads. The more they see these ads, the more familiarized they’ll be and the more apt they’ll be to click onto the WINGS OVER AMERICA website. Once they do that, they’ll discover a whole new world of information - all the news sources they were previously unaware of, and they’ll realize there’s an alternative to the propaganda they’re getting from the national media.
Victor: I know that this ad concept has been tried before, but what they did was put together a somewhat cluttered, complex ad. It was too controversial, and ended up being a big, jumbled mess.
Lisa: It was good to have it out there, but it didn’t run very long.
Victor: Right. It only ran in a few venues. What we want to do is have something simple. We want the ad to say WINGS OVER AMERICA - The Revolution is Being Televised, along with the website address. That’s it. People can click onto this homepage, watch this show, and also click onto a link where everyone who has signed up for this project will have their website listed. They’ll all be in one place. People who then click onto WING’s website will be able to check out all these various websites from a single page. This is where the content comes into play, because we’re not telling anyone what to do with their website. We’re simply saying, let’s all be organized in one unified area. Instead of going to CNN or FOX News, they will have the option of clicking on WINGS OVER AMERICA and getting all this different information – and it’ll all be in one place so they won’t have to use a search engine. It’ll open up people’s eyes, just like John Kaminski’s chapbook The Day America Died did with the woman who called me on the phone.
Lisa: Just like it opened YOUR eyes up when you learned this information for the first time. Just think of turning someone else onto the truth. Another thing that differentiates this type of ad from the ones that have been tried before is: it’s smaller, simpler, and it will be more regular. They’ll see it more often. It won’t appear once and then be gone.
Victor: That’s a very good point. We’ve become accustomed to living in this vacuum where we know so much about what’s going on in the world that we assume everyone else does, too. I was talking to a journalist major yesterday and she had no idea that there even was an alternative to the official 9-11 official government-media version of what happened. So, we want to get at least a thousand sites involved in this project to form our organization. If we do that, we’re going to become a force. The people who are in charge of the media right now are going to have to recognize us. We need the big boys like The American Free Press, Jeff Rense, Alex Jones, American Patriot Friends Network, Mike Ruppert, and George Noory/Art Bell. Just think if we could get all these other huge sites banded together in one place.
Lisa: The thing is, individually, we have a limited impact and limited audience. But together, there’s no stopping us. There’s unlimited potential for exposure and availability of information to people all over the world – not just in America.
Victor: After we get the ads running, we also want to add to the WING TV network. Right now, we only have one show – ours. But we want to add more shows and create a lineup of programs, just like with CNN. They have different shows running all day long, as do CBS and FOX. We want to get the best people out there to host their own shows also. So, instead of just Lisa and me talking, we can have five, six, seven, maybe ten different shows a day, which will allow us to compete with the mainstream networks.
Lisa: Just think of it - an entire WING Network. The implications are enormous.
Victor: Finally, and most importantly, we want your ideas and input on this endeavor. The last thing we want to do is step on each other’s toes. We just want everyone to become organized, and we need to get rid of this “ego” factor.
Lisa: Leave your egos at the door because this isn’t about ego. This is about saving America, saving ourselves, and ensuring a future for our children.
Victor: If everyone out there is receptive to this idea, we’ll add a “WINGS Over America” link to our site. In the meantime, we’re going to ask you to contact every person you know, along with every website that you get your daily news from. Contact these people and tell them what a great idea this is, and how it’s a first step toward saving our country. Right now, nobody is trying to get us organized. They have different events, but no continuous organization.
Lisa: The people who attend these events tend to leave the event once it’s over; scatter to different locales, and many never see each other again. What we want to do is get everybody on the same team. So, we need to make the decision to be proactive, tell new people everyday, and get people involved.
Victor: We need something that’s cohesive and ongoing. Singular events aren’t enough.
Lisa: Let’s do this. We can bend history. The question is; do we really want to?
