Is the President Dead?
by Hero Cee
Many things just don’t make sense these days. Too many. The whole situation in Iraq is a mess which should never have happened. Yet it did. Intelligence advisers in America, England and Australia all warned of the probable consequences of this military operation. They warned that the Iraqi people would not welcome a foreign occupation. They warned that the country would fall into civil war. So far, they were right. As the days lunge from one horrible fiasco to the next, it is becoming bleedingly obvious that this war should never have started.
Politically it has destroyed the stellar ratings of three leaders. George W Bush, Tony Blair and John Howard were all enjoying unprecedentedly high approval ratings before the war. Now look at the numbers. Bush and Howard are hovering around the 50% mark whilst Blair is facing revolt even from his own party. What could have driven these men to make the decisions they made? Whether it will ever be publicly acknowledged or not, they were each well briefed about the likely disastrous outcome. Yet still they proceeded and led us all to what is now a very significant precipice in history. It makes no sense.
The current situation seems to beg the exploration of hitherto ‘alternative’ theories. Perhaps a killer comet is approaching from outer space. Maybe the global economy is bankrupt. Possibly there is a stargate in Iraq which the major powers are duelling over. After the crazy events in Fallujah, it is impossible to brush aside any theory.
So, let’s go back to what we know to be true. Prior to the 9/11 George W Bush appeared to be a highly popular leader. Now he is openly referred to as the village idiot. At his rare April press conference he did not have the air of a man of confidence. Indeed, he looked like a puzzled buffoon. The conference was scripted. He knew the questions in advance. Yet, still he struggled to maintain credibility. How could this man be President of the United States? Or, is he?
Let’s leave aside the 2000 election debacle for now. Take a giant leap and assume that George W Bush was the rightfully elected president. Certainly he appears to be a man groomed for the job by powers connected to his father, the former President, George H Bush. The original team, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and Powell all come from the former entourage. Could it be that they had other plans for George W? Could it be that George W refused to play along?
Who remembers frequent photo’s of George W Bush with bruises and bandaging on his face? What was that all about? He’s a little too old for acne.
The wheels started to fall off on September 11. One of the first questions asked was, “Why did the President remain in the Florida classroom listening to a child’s story for 20 minutes after he heard of the crashes?” From there on, George W Bush, the illustrious leader was supplanted by George W Bush, the village idiot.
Is it possible that this is exactly what happened? Does anyone remember the movie Dave? Here is a question which all Americans should seriously consider: Was President George W Bush assassinated on September 11, 2001 and replaced with a look-alike?
Before you scoff at the suggestion, come up with a better explanation of his behaviour.
