Demopublicans and Republicrats
by Dan Kersey

Much to my amazement, the government reported that jobs in the U.S. have increased. It would be interesting to know how they arrive at these numbers. I hope it isn't the same method they use to determine the "official" low rate of inflation, also known as the CPI or consumer price index.

The CPI is nothing but a joke anyway since it does not include the cost of food or energy. Therefore, if we don't eat and we don't put gas in our cars, then there is very little inflation.

Now even more ridiculous is the fact that the Demopublicans and Republicrats are both blaming each other for high oil prices. The same high oil prices that were supposed to drop to $20 per barrel after we "liberated" Iraq. Whatever happened to Bin Laden by the way? Wasn't he the one responsible for destroying the Trade Centers? Wasn't he the reason we bombed Afghanistan? Or was it Al Qaeda? And if these terrorist cells exist all over the world, as we are told, shouldn't we be bombing more than just Afghanistan and Iraq? Shouldn't we "liberate" the entire world? Think of all the cheap oil we could have then.

Perhaps the best way to punish the criminals behind the Trade Center attacks is to conduct a criminal investigation and find those specifically responsible for the act. After all, if there is a murderer(s) loose within a city, the common sense thing to do is to find that particular person(s) responsible. Not bomb the whole city using taxpayer dollars. Then turn around and have to rebuild that same city using more taxpayer dollars.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon or a bunch of fancy letters after one's name to figure this out.

While many people dismiss government lies and cover-ups as "conspiracy theory" or "unpatriotic," more and more people are becoming aware of the fact that our country is being sold-out by the same politicians we have elected into office. Yes, it is true that we still live in the greatest nation on the planet, but what is it exactly that has made America the best nation to live in? Is it because of our geographical location? Is our chunk of dirt better than the chunk of dirt known as Europe or Asia? No. America is a better nation because we have a Constitutional Republic as our form of government, which is supposed to limit the powers of those in charge. History has long proven that people in positions of power tend to abuse that power when it is not checked.

The definition of a conspiracy is simply two or more persons planning to do an evil act. Juries regularly hand down guilty votes of conspiracy in our courtrooms everyday. So why is it that people tend to roll their eyes and mumble "conspiracy theory" whenever something disturbing and verifiably true about our government is brought to the forefront? I believe there are three reasons for this (1) most people have been conditioned by the media to think this way (2) even if many people do believe it, fear of ridicule or "peer pressure" keeps them quiet on the subject. It's much easier to "follow the crowd" and (3) some people just take the "ignorance is bliss" road, concluding that if they don't know the truth, then their conscience won't hold them accountable for not acting upon that truth.

I'm glad the founders who wrote our Constitution faced the truth. Of course, I'm sure they were labeled "conspiracy nuts" and "unpatriotic" by King George III and his power hungry government.

Something to think about this July 4th.
