According to Dictionary.com, the word Historic refers to what is important in history: It is also used in regard to what is famous or interesting because of its association with persons or events in history:

When a particular event is of great or lasting significance to a nation, institution, or a people, we tend to take particular note of it. The event is reported to the population via the conduit of establishment media venues and then is subsequently chronicled in the pages of established historical records to be accurately preserved for posterity. At least this is what is supposed to happen. If you’re reading this article, in all likelihood you’ve come to the chilling realization that mainstream media does not, in fact, bother to tell us what’s really going on in the world around us – and when it does churn out coverage of “important events” for public consumption, what we’re typically handed is far afield from the truth. What is truly significant or of great import to the people of a nation is not necessarily considered so to power. In reality, Power maintains its iron-fisted grip upon this thing we call information, and the result is that people know only what Power wants them to know, when and in the manner Power chooses. The traditional historical record overflows with distorted, warped, false and largely unchallenged versions of “significant events and famous individuals” of our present time and of times long past, and this diabolical pattern of intentional mass deception continues on even today, as I type these very words.

Again, if you’re reading this, then you probably already possess a level of clarity that most of the people in your everyday life have yet to attain, and so, you’ve read this stuff before. You already know that we cannot trust Power in government or the Power in Media to bring us truth, to include us in the information loop of what is going on in the world around us. We must seek this type of information for ourselves if we really want to learn, understand, make informed choices and decisions, grow as individuals, identify and fix the existent problems and systems that are broken within our society and culture, and create change. Okay, so the establishment press is not to be trusted as a conveyor of what is real or true or important. We then turn to the alternative media, seeking important information that is suppressed by traditional news venues, the stuff that never gets into the history books. The alternative media and its corresponding “truth” groups and organizations generate endless virtual pages of information designed to supposedly inform, educate, enlighten and increase awareness. We are told we’re getting the news the government and mainstream media do not want us to know, see and hear. We’re urged to “trust” this alternative press because it allegedly exists because its mainstream counterpart has failed miserably in doing its job. We’re urged to believe that yes, we can handle the truth and by God, we’re getting the truth.

My question is: why are so many events of great significance, lasting importance and historic proportion being completely ignored by this “last great hope” – the independent news media? Why is the alternative press totally dropping the ball when it comes to reporting news? Where are all the various groups and individuals when we need them to report and widely disseminate important information? Why are we seeing total blackouts on historic events, such as the February 23, 2006 interview on Coast to Coast AM between George Noory and the Scholars for 9-11 Truth? Where is our alternative media? Where are the self-proclaimed leading forces of 9-11 truth? I’ll tell you where they are. They’re busy hawking gold and silver, pretending to be independent/alternative, sculpting and perfecting their faux righteous indignation for effect, and cherry-picking tidbits and factoids, and even AP news items culled right from the mainstream press wires they purport to despise, disrespect, and are supposed to be replacing. What is happening in reality is that most of the so-called alternative, allegedly “independent” media venues are doing nothing more and nothing less than mirroring their pretend arch-enemy, the national news Liars Club. How can we say we’re getting the scoop from the “new media” when the “new media” is suppressing and containing valuable information? What the hell is going on here?

We saw the same exact suppression and containment last year when our alternative media “saviors” failed to cover the Oklahoma City Bombing 10th anniversary event, dubbed the “Day of Truth”. Furthermore, this abysmal excuse of an alternative media and the pathetic, transparent, self-serving opportunist shills who have crowned themselves leading proponents of 9-11 Truth also conveniently failed to report on the historic Ground Zero protest on September 11, 2005. Instead, they deliberately chose to tell you about a lovely little red herring prance they engaged in at the United Nations on a Sunday when businesses in the area were closed and there was nobody paying attention to even see them prancing, other than their own dance troupe of willing sign-holders. Where was the almighty Alex Jones with his blaring bullhorn on 9-11? He sure as hell wasn’t at the emotional epicenter, which is Ground Zero. Neither was anyone else at GCN or RBN or Rense or What Really Happened or Truthout. Greg Szymanski WAS there, but he chose to NOT report the story. Where were Daryl Smith and Eric Hufschmid? Jack Blood? Or how about the former conscience of the alleged movement, John Kaminski? So much for the last bastion and final frontier of truth, huh? WING TV, however, was there. We circulated the story everywhere, to both mainstream and alternative news venues and alleged ‘truth” groups alike. A few reported that historic event, and the rest sat behind their computers, cranking out the same old tired crapola we’ve all read a zillion times before and since, spinning as usual, with their thumbs wedged up their collective ass.

Tell me, is this something we’re supposed to be proud of?

Which brings me back to the Coast to Coast AM interview on February 23, 2006. I don’t even know why I need to say this again, but here goes: This was BREAKING NEWS. I personally alerted 319 political Internet groups and discussion forums, all of which circulate alternative news information; and sent each of them links to our reports on this interview along with the corresponding audio links so more people could listen to this mesmerizing historic discussion that took place on a major nationally syndicated radio talk show. We sent the same reports and links to many alternative media news venues (not all listed below) such as:

So what was the result of all this emailing? Let’s see. I received a reply from Janice Matthews thanking me for the submission. Matthews did not say she was going to post the information or the audio clips of the interview. “Thanks for the submission.” To this day, the information remains unreported by 911truth.org, the “leaders” of the 9-11 truth “movement”. This is a little surprising, considering how they have promoted David Ray Griffin’s work in the past. Yeah, whatever.

I also received one of those handy-dandy impersonal auto-responses from the self-proclaimed Grandfather of the 9-11 Truth Movement: Mr. Alex Jones. So I know Jones received these reports and audio clips. He just didn’t bother to post them on his various websites or mention the BREAKING NEWS on his GCN broadcast or even on his cable access show. C’est la vie, buy his videos and crawl back into your fetal tuck, because Alex is too busy mind-wiping his audience and pitching his videos to divert attention away to something as inconsequential as BREAKING NEWS. I guess it’s not breaking news unless Alex is breaking it. How silly of me to think that the rest of the alternative media and 9-11 truth movement might possess even the remotest interest in the fact that on February 23, 2006, three well-respected academians with impeccable credentials stepped up to the plate and hammered out the truth about 9-11 like it has never been done before to the largest audience to date - and at least five million people around the world got to hear something other than 9-11 bullshit for a change. Historic is what it was, and is, and the alternative press and 9-11 Truth “elites” once again blew it. 911truth.org did manage to headline other events and stories they apparently considered worthy, but they couldn’t even be bothered to muster a tiny blurb mentioning the Coast to Coast AM interview?

So who did report this breaking news? To the best of my ability, I‘ve tried to track this all week.

That’s it. That’s all she wrote, folks. Not a peep out of the others on the list. Not a peep out of the “Grandfather of the 9-11 Truth Movement”. Kind of amazing, isn’t it, that the self-proclaimed “Granddaddy” of 9-11, Alex Jones, has essentially dismissed the Coast to Coast AM interview as though it never even happened? What’s the story, Alex? For that matter, as many times as Jones has appeared on Coast to Coast AM over the years, why hasn’t he himself laid the information out in this way like the Scholars did? It’s not exactly like he didn’t have plenty of opportunities to do so. Moreover, while it was ever-so-polite of Janice Matthews to let me know she received the information I sent her, WHY didn’t she report it? I daresay it wasn’t because she was busy educating the public on the controlled demolition of the WTC towers. You see, Janice never read the book. The top 9-11 gun of 9-11truth.org can’t speak to the issue of controlled demolition because she never read the material. How do we know? We asked her.

So, what gives?

I’m always asking everyone if the truth matters. Does the truth matter? Does it matter to Alex Jones, Mike Rivero, Justin Raimondo, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, Janice Matthews, Cynthia McKinney, etc.? If so; these people have got me fooled. I’ll tell you something. At WING TV, we’re forever working to set the official record of history straight, to create change, educate, inform and increase awareness, promote activism and REPORT THE NEWS. Plus, we work other jobs. This makes for incredibly long, exhausting days – every day. Yet, somehow we managed to cover the BREAKING NEWS. Where was everybody else? Is it not the purpose of alternative news venues to actually cover breaking news, especially historic events?

If so, then where the hell were they and where the hell are they? Just so you know, it’s an inordinate amount of never-ending work for two people (Victor Thorn and me) with no staff, but we are happy to do what we do because we know there is nothing more important we could be doing right now at this time in our lives. The truth matters. It matters today and it will matter tomorrow. The question remains, to whom does it matter? If the above list is any indication, we have yet another serious problem on our hands. Does the truth matter to the people/groups on the list that refused to report that historic interview? What kind of answers can we extract from their silence?

I cannot even put into words how disgusted I am with this bogus, dysfunctional misrepresentative, never-there-when-you-need-it “alternative media”. By now, everybody should know what 911truth.org and their aptly named “steering committee” is all about (gatekeeping), so there’s no need to hold out any hope that suddenly they’re going to do the right thing. The 911truth.org ‘family’ does not exist for the purpose of “doing the right thing”. They exist for the purpose of perpetuating the cover-up. They thrive on your money and from watching you chase your tail. Their name should be “Empty Lipservice.org”. I sent an email to them and to all the other venues as a test. One political Internet group replied to my Coast to Coast AM posting. The response was a ‘goodbye file’ informing me that I was removed from their forum. What was the reason? They told me their group is a nazi-free zone. This is the kind of idiocy one has to deal with in trying to circulate information. I suppose telling the truth makes you a nazi these days, is that it?

I’ve learned a valuable lesson from these experiences in trying to get the purported alternative media and the phony 9-11 truth groups to report and disseminate real news. You’d think this would be something they would just naturally be inclined to do on their own, wouldn’t you? Well, it’s not. They have shown their hand, my friends, and this is not the first time. None of them reported the groundbreaking Coast to Coast AM interview. Not one of them. We’ve tried to tell the world for years now. Truth is not their forte. A lot of people criticized us. Hardly anyone listened. Perhaps you’ll listen now.

The reality is: the circle of truth tellers is extremely small – it consists of a handful of individuals, a dozen at most. Moreover, this dubious, shapeless, greedy bastard spawn of the mainstream motherload which calls itself the “alternative press” is a LIE, a sham. Do you get it yet? It’s not interested in telling you the truth any more than the mainstream media or the government. It is not about setting the record of history straight, it’s about tabling donations, selling videos, manipulating and profiting off a nation’s deception and fear, and off of war - and it works diligently to shape public opinion in a very dangerous way. It’s about diversion and distraction and little red herrings. It’s about selling new age products, British water filters, miracle cures for toenail fungus, and fake “ener-food”. It is a growing beast that feeds off you like a tic on a dog. The front men are very convincing and the whole machine appears to be backed by a nice-sized chunk of coin. Much of that is yours. Those who worship at its feet defend it because they’re fools who don’t know any better or because they’re an appendage of it. Let’s get one thing straight here: Genuine alternative media does not ignore/suppress BREAKING NEWS. It reports it. It takes the ball and runs with it clear to the goal line. Media, I’m told, has a responsibility to communicate what is happening to the public. If this is the case, then all these bell-ringers for truth better start walking the line. If they intend to constantly shake our money trees, then they damn well better GIVE us the truth or stick the collection basket where the sun don’t shine. It’s time to put up or shut up, folks.

The real alternative media is actually very small, has no big money driving its engine, and the majority pay little or limited attention to it. But it’s out there and it tells you the truth. It is invariably marginalized by the bigger fake media machine that lies to you everyday, suppresses news stories and offers you total blackouts in exchange for your generous donations and purchases. What we have in this so-called “alternative media”, Ladies and Gentlemen, is nothing more than a mirror-image of the old arch-enemy (mainstream media) blasting through our speakers every day, diverting our attention onto side roads, tossing red herrings at our feet, pitching and hard-selling us to kingdom come, and pretending non-news is news, while it sits on the goods.

There is no “truth movement” because nobody is demanding that there BE a movement. In order to even HAVE a truth movement, we need to have a conscience. We need to be able to tell the truth, distinguish fact from fiction, identify both the lie and the liar, and keep the bar high enough to maintain a certain standard. What kind of standard is being set by not reporting the news? Very few of us out here are pushing for any of the above to happen. Every time we alert the public about this destructive media devil, some moron tells us how damaging we are to the “truth movement”. I hate to break this to you, but truth cannot damage a truth movement. It never has and it never will. Regrettably, the majority of people reading this article right now will never open their mouths against these phonies that have sabotaged our genuine efforts to expose the bastards all these years. Why? Because this is what sheeple do best. Follow the herd into the pen and revel in the undeniable stench of bullshit. If you’re willing to put up with these failures, then you must like the smell. We have, my friends, mostly a press bent on news containment rather than news dissemination, and I’ve just given you a very clear example above. Now, go right ahead and defend them. Make my day.

If they want to tell you they stand for truth, justice, the American Way or exposing the New World Order or the lies of 9-11, then by God, why don’t they give you more than empty lip service?

Why aren’t they giving you the truth? Why do they continually blow smoke up your ass? And for the love of God, why do you accept this and swallow it like its ice cream? Does the truth matter? We’re talking about the fate of our nation here. We’re talking about our history and about what we are leaving behind for our children. We’re talking about reality and we’re talking about the future, if there is to be one.

How many more historic events can we afford to ignore? History books are being written right now. Events are being chronicled right now by people who have no intention of letting the truth come to bear. More lies will be scratched onto the pages of history and preserved for future generations (providing this administration doesn’t destroy the Earth itself in the next couple of years). If we truly seek to set the record straight, then we must first report what is happening, what is real and true and then we must undertake the continuous writing of our own history books. Many of these works are already out there, but the process of chronicling history must be ongoing, and make no mistake: If we fail in this, then we will be forever defined by those who seek to destroy us. Is this how you want to be remembered and by whom? Open your eyes and for once in your life, know the enemy. There is nothing alternative or truthful about him and he walks among us. He’s picking your pocket. For once in your life, do the right thing. Set the bar higher. It’s obvious that the cowards, phonies, shills, fear-mongers and hypocrites can’t and/or won’t.

Finally, I repeat: On February 23, 2006, an historic event took place on Coast to Coast AM in a groundbreaking discussion between George Noory and members of Scholars for 9-11 Truth, David Ray Griffin, Dr. Morgan Reynolds and Professor Jim Fetzer. These three brave men had the spine to tell the truth about what really happened on September 11, 2001 to a massive global radio audience and to George Noory, who actually listened to what they had to say. This was an historic coup for every single one of us at the front lines of the 9-11 truth effort – and the world deserves and needs to know.

WING TV was there to mark this historic occasion. If the big alternative containment media flag-bearers refuse to walk the line, then we will.
