Well, he’s done it again. As reported by Capitol Hill Blue editor Doug Thompson, George W. Bush has once again shown his true colors. Sure, our incompetent (bordering on idiotic) president has pulled other boners before --- reading the goat book upside down on the morning of 9-11, and telling his FEMA director “Nice job, Brownie” after the Katrina disaster --- but W. has hit a new low. After hearing criticism for renewal of the Patriot Act during a cabinet meeting, Bush blurted, “I don’t give a go*#amn. I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief.”
When an aide objected that this bill was undermining the Constitution, Bush snarled, “Stop throwing the Constitution in my face. It’s just a go*#amn piece of paper.”
According to Thompson, this quote was confirmed by three different people who attended the session.
At this point, even though I’m not one who has ever had trouble putting a pen to paper, I’m not sure what to say except: America, we’re in serious trouble, and this asshole president of ours is dragging us down into the sewer. In fact, I’ll even go so far as to say that Bush is now in serious competition to be among the four worst presidents this nation has ever seen, along with Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and Bill Clinton.
What a mess we’re in, and it’s definitely getting worse.
