Connecting the Dots

Introduction
by Victor Thorn & Lisa Guliani

On April 10, 2006 WING TV ran an article entitled Rense & Alex Jones: Caught Red-Handed which exposed a case of brazen censorship. The response we received from this story was overwhelming, and it showed that those in the patriot movement are still willing to fight for a free press that is unemcumbered by Big Brother's heavy-hand.

To coincide with the release of this piece, we contacted a number of individuals in the alternative media and asked for their thoughts on censorship; specifically that exhibited by Alex Jones and Jeff Rense. What follows below are their responses, along with a few from our WING TV viewers.

We would also like to note that, in the sake of fairness, we requested input from the subjects of this article to get their side of the story. Regrettably, Jeff Rense never answered our e-mails, while Alex Jones hung-up the telephone on us numerous times (April 12, 2006).

Thus, we would like to thank those who stepped-up to the plate and commented on this issue. Their responses may rub a few people the wrong way, but where is it written that all of us must walk lock-step with each other? Plus, isn't that the whole idea of a free press anyway - to get a wide array of perspectives in a public forum?

But although the opinions of these writers may vary in certain instances, we feel it is safe to say that one over-riding theme is crystal-clear: it is totally unacceptable to CENSOR another writer's work without their knowledge and/or consent after it has already been published. In this sense, Jeff Rense and Alex Jones have become mirror-images of Big Brother.
