The first knowledge I had of Sam Danner's testimony regarding the Pentagon was on July 10th in the Loose Change Pentagon forum. In the following link you can see my very first response after listening to the first part of the Eric Hufschmid interview with Sam. Read the thread all the way through to see how it evolves.

The reason I took these actions is because after listening to just the first part of the Hufschmid interview I knew there were huge problems with this Sam Danner account. My intention was only to protect the Pentagon investigation from further distraction and distortion. I also respected the journalists involved and wanted to caution them about this account so they would not have their hard work diminished by being mislead.
Christopher Bollyn called me later that day and we talked. In between the email to him and his return phone call I had done some research. When I got off the phone I sent Christopher the following email:
I just got off the phone with you. The following letter was what I was in the middle of when you called.
1) I would ask him [Sam Danner] without sounding doubtful what his actual pilot certifications have been.
2) I would clarify if he worked for Amtrac or Amtrak and for how long.
3) This would be a tough one to ask on air, but maybe in private ask what he was wearing if he's identifiable in photos.
4) I would do the inexpensive generic background check on him since this is going to fly like fire in the 9/11 Truth community and take on a life of its own.

I have spent the morning on the phone with the FAA. Under a verbal "FOIA" they were able to give me the following information over the phone. I confirmed his age, middle initial and location to ensure it was the same person.
1) Mr. Danner has never had a valid FAA certificate issued according to their records.
2) The only contact they have recorded with him is from June 14, 2001 for a medical exam. They were not allowed to tell me if he was issued a student certificate or not.
3) He has had no further licensing or medical exams since then. For his age bracket they consider even his medical status, "expired under all classes". If he had any type of license or had been issued one since then he would have been due a medical in June of '03.

The reason I have gone to this trouble is that he does not even remotely speak like a pilot. I come from a family of pilots and served 5 years 9 months in the USAF as a C-130 and C-141 crew chief. I have a feeling about this testimony that makes me worry 9/11 Truth is getting taken for another ride.
The reason I approached you is because of respect for you and your work. I don't want our credible names to get hit with BS.

Here is a review of his first 19 minutes with Eric.
The following responses will be indicated by the minutes/seconds of the two parts of the interview.
PART 1:

03:00 - He says it was around "9:30" and his wife had called him about Shanksville already. Flight 93 didn't crash until 10:03. Then he said it was shot down by F-16's according to AP wire.
04:00 - Trying to describe the aircraft did not at all sound like a pilot's description.
04:09 - He states he did not see any missiles.
04:43 - He said he saw it hit 4 poles, which he counted at 400 mph?
04:49 - Then he says he was wrong and it hit only one?
05:55 - Then he says it was coming towards him for 3-4 seconds. He was facing west. Then he said it made the 270 degree turn?
06:04 - Then he said it was coming from the south?
06:43 - "The first thing we thought was an airliner"? He said earlier it was not an airliner?
08:53 - Here it just gets confusing - he was in his car, now out and the aircraft description changes etc..
09:45 - He was so close he felt the air from it?
10:16 - He states he has never seen a picture of a Global Hawk. He says Loose Change is what inspired him to come forward. At 3:03 into Loose Change 2nd Edition there is footage of a Global Hawk.
10:40 - He said a four-engine "jet" was above them. Was this a C-130? How well does he know planes?
11:17 - He said the plane looked like a 707 or a DC-8. The DC-8 ended production in 1972 and the commercial 707 in 1978. The military version was produced until 1991. Not a lot of these things flying today.
12:05 - "I have flown a Piper Cherokee....I'm off on medical." The FAA people I talked to said, "He has had no valid FAA certificates issued and has no current FAA certification." The only contact with him was in June of 2001 for a medical exam. They could not say if a student's certificate had been issued at the time. But it was not for a valid airmen certification and he had no prior medical records with the FAA. [Note: He said he was 'off on medical'. Off from what? He does not and never had any airmen certificate ever issued by the FAA which is finally admitted in the Alex Jones interview. The reason he put that in his bio then is because he was aware of my investigation proving he had no license.]
14:22 - He said he had his EMT clothing on. So he has retired from being an EMT and his certification has expired since?
15:21 - He says he saw a turbine - a front rotor? That photo of the turbine was taken on the 13th after having been brought out of the building. He would be the ONLY witness including Jamie McIntyre that reported an engine part visible on the 11th. Then he says it's Pratt & Whitney? Even experts who have looked at that photo admit they can not specifically identify that part to an engine.
16:00 - Now he admits to not originally having had on an EMT outfit. But he kept it in the car to "jump" emergencies by putting it on to look official. As a person who truly spent 11 years as a professional EMT including 8 with the Seattle Fire Department, that speaks of a certain mentality we saw very often. Attention seekers who often would exaggerate the scene and the story about it. They would even make sure we had their names and follow us back to the station to bask in their heroism.
17:18 - He said he heard on a "car radio" it was a 757? I do not recall them stating an aircraft type on all of the 9-1-1 audio tapes I have listened to (I would have to listen again to be 100% sure). But he certainly would not have been close enough to a regular news broadcast with all of the noise at the scene and sneaking around in a fake EMT uniform close enough to allegedly see engine rotors.
18:00 - He says the light poles were blown the "wrong way". Every base that we have photos of was knocked towards the Pentagon. The only exception was pole two whose top was knocked back and to the side. We have no photos of the base of pole two.
18:26 - He says it looked like somebody had put a charge on the base of the pole. There is no explosive evidence on any of the poles in the photos. The poles would also have to have been "blown" up high as well to make the story work.
18:45 - He said, "I read somewhere.....". His whole story is a composite of what he has read on this subject. He said he'd never seen a Global Hawk even though he watched Loose Change too. If he originated the contact for this interview then I am even more suspicious.

Christopher and Michael,
I am not going to bother reviewing the second half of the Hufschmid interview. At the very least Sam is confused. I believe he is lonely and has a need to be involved. I strongly feel his story is a composite of the things he has read about 9/11. He may sound sincere because he may actually believe this. It makes me kind of sad to tell the truth.
I hope that this is investigated and set straight before it fuels too many more theories that divide the 9/11 Truth movement in regards to the Pentagon. Maybe a background check to look into the 10 addresses would be useful. I don't know what else to say.
Following are the last observations of the first part of the original interview.

Hufschmidt/Danner Interview Part 1 Continued:
22:58 - He felt "they" were in his car while he was away at the Pentagon. In his interview on RBN Live he said he was parked a half mile away (and now doesn't even know where he was).
23:20 - He plants secret tape on his car to see if people mess with it while he's gone?
24:15 - He had been reading all about this is confirmed here, and then he contacted Eric to tell this story.
24:39 - Here is a major flaw. He said he was in the line of people picking up wreckage. This did not happen until well after the evacuation ended at 10:38. He said he was on the scene for about an hour and 10 minutes (9:50).
25:54 - Here he says he was laying low and whispering and didn't want the "Pentagon people" to hear him. But earlier he is talking about challenging them and asking questions.
28:08 - For somebody who was allegedly a pilot, his understanding of composites and aircraft materials is severely lacking here.
31:16 - He was within two feet of an engine outside the building and it was hot?
33:32 - Here he is clearly discussing the photo of the engine part. It was not outside the building on the 11th.
34:28 - Here he brings up the "line in the grass" guidance theory. Clearly from reading. This is a composite story. This is why the grass was "disturbed":
Pentagon Research
38:12 - Here he is talking about the collapse. There is nothing mysterious about them pulling firefighters back You can see the building sagging in the photos. There are clear explanations why Capt. Defina called for that. I have interviewed him. Standard fireground operating procedure.
40:20 - Here he reemphasizes he hasn't seen a Global Hawk. Loose Change had one in it and after everything he has read and quoted from 9/11 research I can't believe he hasn't seen one. Remember earlier he said he tried to play dumb about planes so as not to tip the "Pentagon men" about what he knew.
42:38 - Here now he says his wife called him back and told him to disregard the F-16 thing in Shanksville?
46:17 - Here he says he doesn't watch films and read 9/11 books again. But he has watched Loose Change, read Eric's book and mentioned many other things he read. He is making this point too often.
48:04 - Even though he says he is not a "conspiratorial guy" he mentions plants, people disappearing, and secretly taping his car to detect intruders? And he mentions the government getting into his car to see what frequencies he's on for ham radio?
49:33 - Now he says he ran into the Shanksville coroner and used the "drop of blood quote"? This is too much.
49:48 - Now he mentions Dylan Avery by name, but doesn't watch 9/11 movies?
50:41 - He knows a mortician around Shanksville he called to get this information on the coroner?
I am sorry but this account will only serve to stir and confuse. In my opinion it can't be considered credible.
There are other exchanges in addition to the ones above, but these examples should suffice to explain the time frame, the information and the tone of my response to Sam Danner's story and my approach toward the journalists involved. These emails, including every transaction I have had with Christopher, Michael, Sam and Matthew are saved and can be released to appropriate persons looking into this upon request.

The next major development occurred when Matthew Danner entered the picture. On Thursday, July 20, 2006 1:21 AM I received the following email from a Hotmail account:

It was not in Matthew Danner's name, but later he started sending me emails in his own name. He was just testing to see if I could be trusted. The following email is the first email he revealed his relationship to Sam on Thursday, July 20, 2006 10:56 AM:
okay....look dude....he is my father. i am extremely torn with this stuff.
i called him out on all of this stuff last week...and he told me that he was
finished...and that he was "dropping off the radar". i can see now that he
has no plans to stop. you see....part of this story is true....he really
was down there.....but not until after the "attacks" happend. i talked to
him about an hour ago..and he told me he was going to tell the truth to all
of his contacts this evening. if he doesn't...then you have my word...i am
ALL over this. i can't believe this has gone so far.
i didn't even know about his "story" until after his first two radio
interviews......and i never imagined it would blow up this big. I am the
one responsible for getting him all hyped up about this 9/11 truth stuff to
begin with. the sad part is....his TRUE story would have gotten just as
much press as his false one. he really was there that day.....but he just
dug himself into a hole with these stupid lies and embellishments. but then
again....if you knew my father...this would all make sense. i'm trusting you
with all of this. i'm so bent out of shape i could puke.
oh btw....this isn't my real email account...i just made this one to
maintain some anonymity....because man...i really want nothing to do with
this mess....but i guess i am just as guilty for not speaking the truth....

It should be evident that I did not locate, contact, or pressure Matthew in any way. It was all on his initiative. This would also be a good time to clarify my contact with Sam as well. I NEVER contacted Sam at any point until Matthew gave me his email. I had respect for Eric Hufschmid, Christopher Bollyn, and Michael Collins Piper as journalists. I would not go behind there backs in any way.
After I emailed my number to Sam at Matthew's suggestion on Thursday, August 03, 2006 10:46 AM, Sam called me and left a message. That recording is available on Eric's site in the following link. I made a reasonable number of attempts to call him back, and to this day have not had any discussion with Sam except via email. I have sent Sam a total of 5 emails; 3 of which were responses to his emails to me. All emails and my phone records are also available on the following link.

On Jul 22, 2006, 12:23 AM, Matthew Danner started his own thread on the Loose Change Pentagon forum. Please read all of this through if you would like to see 20 photos that essentially disprove Sam's story about there being nobody to help on the Pentagon grounds. Sam is also not in the photos. Read the whole thread if you want to see my disposition towards the Danner family and my treatment of the subject in general. Matthew also has a lot to say on the matter as well if you want to get an idea of his experience.

Now I will highlight a couple of aspects of why Sam's story about witnessing the impact is not true. At the bottom of the page will be links to most of the pertinent interviews Sam has done or that are related to Sam. The interviews are full of inconsistencies, geographical errors, contradictions and changes of story over time. I will not outline all of these for the sake of time. Instead, I will focus on two verifiable aspects of this story that can not be reconciled if Sam had actually been present at the Pentagon impact.
The first is his repeated statement that there was 'nobody to help'. You can hear this many times throughout the interviews. The exact opposite is true. If Sam had been parked on Washington Boulevard as he later changed his story to from the original statement of being on I-395, then he would have walked right into the chaos of people all over the lawn needing help.
This is only one example of the help needed on the lawn. You can see the link mentioned above to see the rest of the photos. The reason Sam did not see this scene is because he actually arrived much later in the day when the clean-up of debris had begun. By this time all of the victims had been transported by medic unit or helicopter. His son very clearly states Sam was at home watching the attacks on TV during the time frame the Pentagon was impacted. Sam has now admitted Matthew's testimony is true.
The other thing that Sam didn't mention was the set-up of the triage area. This was right on the side of the road he claims to have been on and would have been what he encountered first as he approached the building. An EMT at the location during this phase of operations would have had a lot to say about the events there. The people needing help for both serious and minor injuries, the medic units in and out, and the helicopter airlifts. At this point there were no organized pick up operations in regards to debris.
Sam cannot identify himself in any clear photos of the Pentagon. There is nobody matching the description he gave of himself in any clear photos at the Pentagon. In the photo above you can see the medical operations occurring at the triage area. Donald Rumsfeld was even carrying patients to this location. Further down Washington Boulevard. There were helicopter medivac operations going on. In other words, plenty of medical activity was going on covering the entire Pentagon grounds. Sam mentions none of this. Note also there are no lines of people picking up debris on the lawn in the background.
The following link shows another photo that Sam claimed included him (the red arrow allegedly points to him). The green fence in the top left corner of the linked photo below is the fence surrounding the generator area. You can see the generator burning in the background of the photo above. Again, in the photo linked below the person indicated is wearing a jacket. In Sam's original story in the first part of the Hufschmid interview (16:10 into it) Sam says he put on EMT clothing that was, 'my white shirt with all my badges and pins'..? Eric had even asked him if it was a jacket and Sam denied it.

In the Alex Jones interview, Sam changed his story to an 'ambulance jacket'. Since the Jones interview occurred chronologically late in the series of interviews, my opinion is that Sam changed from a very detailed description of a shirt to a jacket so that his story matched the photo that is allegedly of him in the line. This is only one example of the story being modified as the interviews progressed.
Now for the time factor. In the Alex Jones interview recorded with Sam on July 19th, 2006, start listening at 2:05:30 into it (the links at the bottom of the page have been split into two - so it is near the tail end of the second one). Understand that Sam is saying this line was occurring prior to the building collapse. There was only 19 minutes, according to the official story, between the impact and the building collapse. So all of the EMS activity would have been occurring during the time Sam states he was doing debris pick up. Here is one quote from that interview, 'we were told stand back --- then the thing collapsed'.
The photo of the triage area above is a few minutes prior to the building collapse. Sam claims to have been out in a line on the lawn during this exact time frame picking up pieces. His repeated claims that there was nobody to help can be disproved by the two photos above. As an EMT he would have to have been stepping over people to pick up pieces instead of helping them or participating in the triage area.
This is the most concise and verifiable circumstantial proof that Sam was not there. I believe most of the details Sam provides in his interviews are taken from things he has read and watched since 9/11. For anybody who wishes to persist in some version of this story that involves Sam being pressured to retract by 'governments agents', you are operating without ANY fact to support your beliefs.
If you are sincere about knowing and presenting the truth you will listen to the links I have provided below and do your own research. Pay close attention to the story changes, missing information, inconsistencies and contradictions. Take the evidence above, Matthew's testimony, voice mails and emails, the emails and voice mails to me, and Sam's own confession and the story is done and over.
Sam has many things going on including medical treatments. Once the fabrication began and the attention started, he kept going. There were also forces acting on him to continue this story. Those same forces lied about me and tried to drive Sam away from me. I have empathy for Sam and his family. They have been through enough and this needs to be dropped.
The truth is that from day one all of this could have been avoided. As you can see, that was my intention from the beginning. My hope is that the people involved in this will post appropriate retractions and help the Pentagon investigation get back on track!
