I recently read an article about Group Think, and it amazed me how prevalent this concept is in the patriot movement, which is supposedly the epitome of independent, free-thinkers. Yet all too often these purported truth-seekers are corralled into little pens and herded like cattle by the very “leaders” who are seen as their liberators. The irony is quite stunning.
To further explain what I mean, below is a list of predominant Group Think characteristics:
ONE – Self-censorship: members withhold criticisms
Rather than exposing wrongdoing by certain members of the alternative media (such as censorship, betraying a patriot family, deceit, or aligning one’s self with degenerate scumbags), the Group Think sheeple are brainwashed into automaton compliance via certain Orwellian phrases such as “patriots never criticize other patriots.” This 1984 mantra is usually parroted by paid Company Men under contract by a network to act as gatekeepers (or a protection racket) for the guilty parties so that their questionable practices can continue. What results is reminiscent of corrupt televangelists who perpetually bilk their blind allegiance congregations while laughing all the way to the bank.
TWO – Direct pressure on dissenters to conform
If the flock doesn’t follow with lockstep conformity and adhere to the party line … in other words, if they point-out or expose wrongdoing by the sacred cows … they’re either ganged-up on by the group of Animal Farm attack dogs, or simply kicked-out of the forum. Remember, Group Think can only prevail when dissenters are ambushed and/or eliminated.
THREE – Self-appointed “mind-guards” protect the group from negative information
Although they often refer to themselves as “truth-seekers,” open debate and discussion that goes outside the accepted “patriot police” parameters is very strictly forbidden. Again, similar to hierarchal organized religions, questions are frowned-upon, and only those who strictly COMPLY are rewarded.
FOUR – Incomplete survey of alternatives
Truth can never hurt an authentic “truth movement,” yet in the realm of slavish Group Think, only certain subjects are permitted to be discussed (i.e. those that keep its members contained). If one strays to forbidden topics, they are immediately ostracized, marginalized, targeted, and excluded (just like the government, mainstream media, academia, and organized religions do).
FIVE – Incomplete survey of objectives
Group Think robots should never be organized, or become a threat to the status quo. On the contrary, they’ll perpetually be inclined to chase faceless, nameless entities such as the “New World Order,” “globalists,” “Illuminati,” or “internationalists.” By keeping the automatons in a state of perpetual flux, they’ll never be effective in carrying out any of their non-existent goals (for actual goals are never stated beyond, “We need to defeat the New World Order,” which is ludicrous because you can’t convict or physically imprison the NWO).
