Greg Szymanski's Greed:
Fleecing the Patriot Movement

by Victor Thorn & Lisa Guliani

Money-grubbing greed has reached a new all-time low on PAY-triot radio with the sleazy introduction of Greg Szymanski’s Voices of Freedom (or, as we’ve renamed it, Voices of Fleecing) which proposes that listeners PAY to get their message on their show.

Yes, you read that correctly. Voices of Fleecing requires listeners to pay a price to be heard on Szy’s show. This notion is especially repulsive when we consider that one of the mainstays and cornerstones of talk radio has historically been that callers can phone into a show and freely voice their opinions. This point is even more valid when we take into account the truth movement, where freedom of expression without attaching a dollar sign to it should be the foremost concern.

Similar to large Internet service providers such as Yahoo wanting to charge customers for each e-mail sent, Szymanski is setting a dangerous precedent of having listeners pay to have their voices heard. Even more alarming are Szymanski’s rates. Check this out:

               - for 5 one-minute spots, one must pay $20.00

If you do the math, that comes to $240.00/hour

               - for 20 one-minute spots, one gets the “discount” rate of $50.00

If you do the math for this option, it comes to $150.00/hour

Now let us ask all of you a question. How many of you are making between $150-240/hour? We think it’s safe to say that we can’t think of even one single person who’s raking in that kind of dough. In fact, we don’t even think plumbers, mechanics, electricians, or some family physicians are earning that type of money. Yet Szymanski has the balls to make listeners PAY to be heard.

Not only are we repulsed by this notion at WING TV, but we’re going one step further by saying that if anyone wants to send us a one-minute MP3 clip, we’ll air them for free and devote an entire show(s) to these clips.

Repeat: We’ll air your voices for FREE!

Truth-seekers (or average Americans, as Szymanski calls them) shouldn’t be forced to pay to publicly express their views, thoughts, and opinions on these radio shows, and Greg Szymanski should be ashamed of himself for implementing such a greed-based idea and FLEECING his listeners. It reminds us of an article that Lisa Guliani wrote last year entitled Other People’s Money which basically says that certain people in the alternative media are of the opinion that rather than working, they want YOU to support them. So, when it comes to giving a bad name to the PAY-triot movement, Szymanski is the worst of the worst – the # 1 offender.

Shame on you, Szymanski. Get a job.
