Connecting the Dots

Greg Szymanski's Tricks of the Trade
by Victor Thorn

Yet again, Greg Szymanski (pictured, second from left with Victor Thorn & Lisa Guliani outside the U.N. on September 11, 2005) showed his true colors as the moderator of a recent debate between Michael Collins Piper and Eric Jon Phelps. As we pointed-out in an announcement for this event (Piper-Phelps Debate), Szymanski has engaged in some very questionable practices over the past two years that, quite honestly, members of the mainstream media would have been fired for.

Regrettably, Szymanski hasn’t changed his tune any, as could be seen from his performance as host of this debate. The first sign of trouble came when Szymanski made the following statement: “We’ll never get the full truth behind 9-11 or the JFK assassination.”

Whenever someone in the alternative media repeats such a mantra, it’s indicative of them saying, “This case is so complex that us little people will never know enough to solve it.” But in actuality nothing could be more misleading because we do know the truth about both 9-11 and the JFK assassination. So what is the motivation behind such a self-defeating stance exhibited by Szymanski and others? Quite simply, they’re none-too-subtly trying to fill us with hopelessness while at the same time diverting our efforts away from the true culprits (Israel and their criminal government loyalists).

To further push us away from the crux of these issues, Szymanski continued [paraphrasing], “The truth lies in each individual’s perspective.” Does anyone believe this crap? What Szymanski has done with this statement is muddy the water by inferring that the actual truth doesn’t matter, but instead we should rely on our personal opinions and how it fits into our mindframe. This rationale is an old Clinton tactic, and is also used by secular humanists who want to deny absolutes by replacing them with ambiguous “gray” areas. In other words, nobody is ever right; we should simply rely on what best suits our own particular circumstances (i.e. situational ethics and Machiavellian politics).

Lastly, near the end of this debate when Michael Collins Piper had thoroughly discredited Phelps data, Szymanski said, “I need both of your work in my playbook so that we can defeat the New World Order.” But why would Piper – who showed very convincingly how flawed and error-prone Phelps’ work was – want to combine his legitimate research with that which Phelps readily admitted he was wrong about?

This tactic is the epitome of what defines disinformation – the mingling of good data with bad so that the entire mix is poisoned. Yet Szymanski went out of his way to promote this backward philosophy, even going so far as to use a football analogy. But similar to Jeff Rense who utilizes the same techniques (i.e. Bigfoot, ghosts, etc), these shills are leading plenty of well-intentioned patriots down the wrong path.

Last but not least (and this is off-topic), Greg Szymanski is without a doubt the most boring talk show host in the alternative media. In fact, given a choice between (1) watching paint dry, (2) watching grass grow, and (3) listening to Szymanski; I’d definitely choose options 1 or 2.

One word of warning: be very wary of Szymanski because this guy’s not playing it straight with you.
