Whether you love him or hate him, on January 6, 2005 WING TV will interview one-time presidential candidate Karl Schwarz. But three weeks before this scheduled date is set to arrive, we’re already being criticized by certain individuals in the alternative media who are opposed to this notion. Why, you may wonder? Because they feel Schwarz should not be allowed a forum on WING TV to expound his views. To us, such a stance is so hypocritical – especially in what is known as the ‘independent media’ – that I began to think about how “free” our alternative media really is.

Before discussing this concept further, though, I would like to give everyone a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how this interview came into existence. First, on December 7, 2005 I wrote an article entitled Karl Schwarz Drops Presidential Bid which did not provide a very flattering picture of its subject. Needless to say, a day or so later Schwarz e-mailed me a short note voicing his displeasure with my column. [He later wrote a NINE PAGE rebuttal to my original two-page article, but that’s another story.] Anyway, I replied to his message, saying that we were very interested in conducting an interview with him after the holidays. I also added that if Schwarz agreed to appear on WING TV, we’d be fair with him, but the questions would be tough.

Somewhat later we spoke via telephone, and eventually set-up an interview. Now, even though my views on Schwarz haven’t changed since I wrote the above-mentioned article, we do intend to be fair with him on our show, and to ask him some very tough questions (unlike many other network Company Men who toss nothing but softballs). To his credit, when the heat was turned-up, Schwarz didn’t run and hide, but instead stood-up and agreed to answer our questions on January 6. This stance is a dramatic change from overt cowards like Alex Jones and Jeff Rense who absolutely and positively refuse to answer for their actions. A perfect example is how Alex Jones blatantly betrayed the Gray Family in Texas by selling their videotape to the enemy – ABC News. Even his most ardent followers have called this act “despicable” and “detestable.” Yet this yellow-belly cowers at every turn when faced with our ten questions to him: Proof: Alex Jones Sells-Out to ABC and Ten Questions: Patriot Family Betrayed. The same applies to Jeff Rense, who not only hides behind a wig, fake moustache, and glasses; but is without a doubt the weakest link in the patriot movement chain. If Lisa and I ever had our backs up against the wall and needed someone to fight for us, the very last person we’d ever ask for reinforcement is Jeff Rense. That’s how utterly low our view of him is ... a complete shadow puppet.

Anyway, as stated earlier, certain people in the ‘truth movement’ didn’t want us to exercise our right to free speech, freedom of expression, and a free press by interviewing Karl Schwarz. This curious (and appalling) approach led me to question the entire validity of our ‘alternative media.’ I mean, isn't that what our movement is about - trying to decipher the truth in an open forum of expression? But as we’ve said in our articles many times before, this viewpoint is frowned upon in many quarters of our “free” alternative media.

With this information in mind, examine the list below, then ask yourself a question: do the ‘leaders’ of our independent media truly represent the concept of a FREE and OPEN press, or instead do they epitomize the exact opposite – the “containment” of information? The answer should be very troublesome to you.

*** Amy Goodman and hundreds of others in the Left-leaning press absolutely refuse to expose the truth about what really happened on 9-11.

*** Alex Jones has been exposed by numerous individuals for censoring not only his radio show archives, but for also deleting complete sentences and links from written articles after they had already been published and without the author’s permission. This is the textbook definition of censorship!

*** Phil Jayhan said of his website message board: “This isn’t a free speech forum.”

*** Coast to Coast AM is completely under the thumb of Clear Channel, who has the right of last refusal for any guest or subject topic.

*** Kyle Hence of 9-11 Truth.org said, “The American people aren’t ready for the truth.”

*** John Kaminski admitted to us that he won’t speak out about certain issues because he’s afraid that Jeff Rense will refuse to run his articles any longer.

*** Daryl Smith of GCN’s The French Connection has told us on more than one occasion that he’s afraid to voice his opinion on certain topics because he fears Alex Jones will have him fired from the network.

*** Hesham Tillawi of Current Issues TV was widely criticized for interviewing David Duke on his television show.

*** Jeff Rense ran an article written by Lisa Guliani last July 4th, except that it had somebody else’s name attached to it as the byline. When several readers pointed-out that the article was actually penned by Ms. Guliani, Rense immediately pulled the column from his website without explanation. *** Certain 9-11 forums refuse to run any posts that deal with Israel’s foreknowledge and/or involvement in the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

*** Gabriel Zuckerman of Air America said that she wouldn’t schedule any 9-11 interviews on their network. Her reason? She compared 9-11 researchers to “live Elvis sightings.”

*** Photographer Jan Hoyer deleted photographs of us speaking at the OKC Tenth Anniversary Day of Truth conference after they had already been published on the 'Net, while other 9-11 Mafia members have deliberately cropped online photographs to exclude our 14-foot 9-11 WORLD TRADE CENTER CONTROLLED DEMOLITION banner. These are the exact same tactics that the mainstream media uses!

*** Representatives for David Barsamian (host of Alternative Radio) have stated (much to their dismay, I might add), that he absolutely refuses to touch the 9-11 issue. [Ironically, notice the name of his radio show ... priceless, isn't it?]

*** Dave von Kleist called us the night before we were to appear on The Power Hour and told us not to say anything critical of Art Bell because his wife Joyce wanted to appear on his show in the future so she could continue selling their products.

*** Last but not least we have the Company Man syndrome where certain broadcasters are literally handcuffed by their inability to criticize wrongdoers due to fear of being penalized (i.e. fired from the network).

I could list dozens of other examples, but at this point I’ll simply ask all of you once again: does this sound like how a FREE PRESS operates, or is it more reminiscent of how the mainstream media manipulates its members to keep information restricted? The above-listed individuals are not INDEPENDENT, and they are not free. What they are is a huge disappointment to all of us because they masquerade as patriots, when in reality they are betrayers.
